Have you ever had one of those days? You know what I mean, one of those days that everything gets behind. From the time your feet hit the ground in the morning till the time you head out the door heading home for the night. The harder you try to catch up the further you get behind.
To make up some time you start looking at your process determining where you can make up some of the time. I mean it makes sense that we want to catch up. The true question is at what cost?
If you are working for a company the process may have been determined to be the most effective to generate theĀ most profit. In your personal life it may be about the most effective way to save you time. In either case you thought the process was good. So where do you cut?
Where do I short cut this process and not impact the end result, or is that even possible?
The truth may be that the time it takes is the time it takes. Maybe there is no benefit to short cut, because if you short cut, you may be cutting out the value to the other party. And if there is no value why are you doing it?
Be intentional with your time, because the time you have is the time you have!
Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today.
