What Will They Say When You Are Gone?

24 May 2016

Have you been to a funeral and listened to the people speak of the another whom has passed? Some people search for words and struggle to find the right words to say to lift up the honored individual this day of remembrance.

I often wonder what will be said at my eulogy. What kind of person people believed I was. I have questions, did I make a difference to someone? Will I be remembered for something significant over time or will it all fade to a family tree?

Each day we all set out on a course writing the pages of our days with our actions. It truly is a story, but is it one to be remembered?

As for me, I leave no legacy of name behind. My effort is to live a life with intent to leave the people I share my time and spirit with in a better position than when I entered the room.

We are writing the pages each day.

What is your story?

Are you happy with the events of your life?

Only you can change the direction with the decisions you make.

Your decisions will dictate your story.

I hope I am remembered like my dog Jake. As he has reached the latter days of his life I get the constant questions of how is he doing. It is always followed by what a great dog he is and a story of a visit or a picture that was shared and how it made some smile.

So live your life as a dog giving unconditional love, happy and friendly to anyone who will spend time with you.
