Wait, I am not talking about Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
I am talking about life. There are some parts of the world where the first third of your life was about an education and the next third family and the last third sharing your wisdom.
Let’s look at a typical life cycle. You are born and you begin to learn at an alarming rate. You have tried and failed many times in those early years. You learn some basic life skills. You have some success such as walking and talking. How many times did you fall down and get back up? Truth is no one was counting. That is good lesson. By the time you turn 5 it is time for you to go to school.
You continue your education from 5 to 18. Off to college you go for another 2, 4 up to 8 years depending on your field of study. So in some cases you are 24, 25 or 26 years old. The average age is in the 70’s, so about a third.
Life continues, you get a job and work hard to establish yourself. You get promotions and start a family. You move up the ladder and have become successful. There goes another 25 years.
Your kids have grown and head out on their own and you plan for retirement.
It is time to enjoy those golden years.
In less than 300 words we have gone through the seasons of a life.
Where are you?
It goes way too fast.
Make sure you are planning for progress each day.
Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today.
