Understanding Pay It Forward And Science
11 Aug 2016
I have searched the internet for numbers, percentages or scientific proof paying it forward impacts those that give and those that receive.
I read several studies conducted at universities and their findings. Although most did not provide finite numbers from their results they all said the observations were the same.
The evidence is clear paying it forward does change how we think and feel if only for a short period of time.
Maybe my challenge needs to be to do my own study to provide you with numbers to encourage you to give it a try.
Challenge accepted, I will journal for the next year paying it forward and see what it looks like a year from now.
Here are my guidelines:
Any effort as small as a smile or an acknowledgement needs to be documented.
Giving gifts such as time, money, food, drinks or material things.
I will document their response as I can not tell you how another person feel.
I will document how it made me feel and how long I felt this way..
Remember paying it forward it giving someone something with no expectations with the exception of them paying it forward. It is a small leap of faith.
You be the pebble in the pond and start something today.
Have an awesome day.
