Are you ever rushed to get things done? Silly question right.
I’m out of town on business and it is dinner time. I stop at a local fast food joint for a quick burger. Never looking back, I wait patiently in line for my turn. When I approach the cashier, order taker I motion the next person in line to come up to the cashier. As they approach I encourage them to order anything they like off the menu as a “pay it forward” gesture.
There are rules to make this work properly.
First rule is never look back or start a conversation with the person behind me. This will keep me from being influenced in a good or bad way by appearance. This keeps race, sex, social standings out of the picture. It also keeps me from rewarding someone for thinking like I do.
Next, do not take “no” for an answer. Explain what it means and why I do it. Stick to your guns and make sure explain today they must pay it forward to a stranger.
Sounds simple, so now it is your turn.
When will you give it a try?
What will you say when they “say no thanks” or look at you strangely?
Will you give up or do you know what to say?
Be prepared.
You can do what you like or read a book about paying it forward https://10secondsdaily.com/products/
Thanks for joining me today, and don’t forget to give a little.
