I read a book a few years ago called “The One Thing”, and as I walked this morning I was reminded of this book.
I had really struggled for the past week, it seems I couldn’t get everything done. My thought was at some point to eliminate or change my Routine. To save time I would eliminate my walk in the morning. I could still get up at 4 a.m. and get my blogging done, complete some computer work, and get out the door on time by 6 a.m.
I could change my routines until my life slowed back down.
Please understand during my walk was my quiet time. It was also my planning time. It is time used to listen to motivation or music. This time was what I used to set my expectations for the day. And I eliminated it!
It took less than a week for me to feel overwhelmed, out of control, and not making progress.
I had added “working time” to my day and it did not help, the truth is I believe I got less done with more time.
It was a great reminder to ask yourself, what is the one thing you could do each morning that would make the rest of your day better?
Decide and do it! Take action and move forward.
Time for my walk.
Thank you for spending a few minutes of your day with me.
