I always want to do my best work, at what cost? Many times I complete a task and stand back and think I have done a fine job.  It is simple, give me a task and set me free to use my own methods and processes to complete the task based on your time line. If you press me too much it may not be my best work. Here are a question for you. If you have all the time you need to complete the task would you do your best work first? I only ask because I have found a way to improve on what you have completed.

It is an amazing statement that drives me to work harder and works without fail, ask yourself this, “is that the best you can do”?

This simple question at the end of a project makes me want to really dig deep to find a way to make it better. Maybe not go all the way back and start over, but I will find a way to make my work better. Much like when my wife ask, “are you wearing that”, as we head out for the evening.

Here is the biggest problem, “me”. I get my task completed and I am ready to move on, unless you challenge my ego-is that the best I can do?

Next time you are nearing the end of a project, ask yourself that simple question, is that the best you can do?

I hope this moves you forward today.

Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today.
