Don’t Go It Alone

17 Jan 2017

Have you ever noticed when someone is struggling with life events they seem to disappear? You can see it on their face and through their energy. They may look emotionally drained. They could be struggling at the office or with their personal life. Many times they will make statement like, “well I didn’t want to bother you with my problems”.

Big mistake if you are the one alone trying to figure things out. You were not designed to “go it alone”. Remember how your mind works, the more you think about something the more it takes of your energy, attention and emotions.

If you are struggling, talk to a friend. Get it out in the open. Most of the time you will find you are not alone. Seldom will you experience an event that has never happened before. You will feel much better.

If you are a true friend remember the biggest gift you can ever give of yourself is your time and undivided attention. For most of us, we have struggled with something (depression, loss of a job, pet or loss of a relationship through separation or death).

When you are struggling emotionally it can paralyze your thoughts and derail even the most disciplined minds. Having the right relationships is part of living a balanced life. Know who you can talk to when you want to hide and isolate.
