I was listening to a pod cast as the speaker talked about change. He made some valid points. Here are just a few for you to consider, I am sure there are more.

  1. You can prepare for change.
  2. You do not control change.
  3. Change happens in a second.
  4. You can not stop change.

As I thought about his statements they were all true. The speaker spent 45 minutes drilling down these points. You can affect some change, but we don’t determine the outcome. Think about losing a loved one or a pet you have lived with for years. We can prepare for the outcome, but we cannot change the outcome. The change happens from one minute to the next, and sometimes it happens before we are ready. But it still happens.

I believe what he was saying is full of truth. Another statement about change came from my brother in-law, he once told me that the only thing constant was change.

Now that we are all aware about change, and like time it keeps moving on. Should we become more aware of how we spend our time? More intentional to the important things in life.

Most of us have been posed a question that sounds something like, “if you  knew you only had a month to live, how would you spend your time?” Would that change the way you approach the day, the way you interact with other people, or where you would spend your free moments?

Change can be unexpected and exciting. Be as prepared as you are able, and be resilient with the outcome. Find ways to move forward in the most difficult times.

Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today
